It is a beautiful spring day at the Tennessee Residence, but there are no blooms in the Kitchen and Cutting Garden just yet! This week they have been installing drainage for the garden, and the goal is to finish this portion of the project by end of next week!
Bill Haslam & I are so grateful to Lady Antebellum and special guests who joined us for a dinner benefiting the garden and grounds renovation project at the TN Residence and LadyAID! The band and their spouses and crew were extremely kind, genuine and fun, too! We are proud that they call Nashville home.

Bill and I could not have been more excited to have HGTV at the Residence today to film the ground breaking of the kitchen and cutting garden! We love eating fresh foods, and we look forward to enjoying the fruits, vegetables and herbs from the garden with visitors from all over the state and country.
We will host HGTV at the Tennessee Residence tomorrow to film the groundbreaking of the build-out of a kitchen and cutting garden, promoting local agriculture and farm-to-table sustainability at the Residence! This is the plan for the garden.
The Tennessee Residence is an important landmark for our state! My office is currently working on a landscape renovation project at the Residence, aiming to bring the grounds back to its original health and design.
